Dr Julia Bouska
Service Manager and Senior Specialist Clinical Psychologist
Dr Julia Bouska is a Senior Specialist Clinical Psychologist, specialising in the treatment of eating disorders. Julia is a co-founder of the Oxford Centre for Eating Disorders and she is also the Service Manager.
Julia has seventeen years of experience, working within specialist NHS and private eating disorder services throughout the UK. She has worked for many years in inpatient settings, and has extensive experience of treating the full spectrum of eating problems. Julia takes a compassionate and patient-centred approach, enabling people to work at their own pace towards their recovery.
Julia has a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Developmental Psychopathology, both from the University of Durham. After completing her Masters degree, Julia then gained her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Manchester. She currently supervises a range of professionals in the eating disorder field.
Julia has extensive experience of delivering Cognitive Behaviour Therapy-Enhanced (CBT-E) to people with eating disorders, and she is passionate about supporting people to overcome their eating problem. Julia has received training and supervision in CBT-E from the Centre for Research on Eating Disorders (CREDO) at Oxford University.
Julia has a specialist interest in the interaction between metabolic health and eating disorders, and she is particularly focused on how deviations from our ancestral ways of living in modern society contribute to the development and maintenance of eating disorders, as well as other psychological and physical health problems more generally.
Dr Camille Poirier
Senior Specialist Counselling Psychologist
Dr Camille Poirier is a Senior Specialist Counselling Psychologist. She is co-founder of the Oxford Centre for Eating Disorders and has extensive experience working within specialist eating disorder services as well as general mental health settings. Having lived in both the U.S. and France, she moved to the U.K. to complete her Psychology Degree at Durham University, followed by a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology from the University of East London. She received training and supervision in CBT-E by the founding Centre for Research on Eating Disorders (CREDO) at Oxford University.
Camille has treated patients in both inpatient and outpatient NHS multidisciplinary settings and is passionate about supporting and empowering individuals with fully overcoming their eating disorder.
Camille has a particular interest in working with the student population. She has close links with Oxford University and has provided training and workshops with the university’s student mental health and welfare services.
Camille is registered with the Health Care and Professions Council (HCPC).
Dr Roshan Jones
Specialist Clinical Psychologist
Dr Roshan Jones is a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered Clinical Psychologist. She has a long-standing interest in working with people who have eating disorders, a field in which she has extensive experience. She has worked in community and inpatient specialist eating disorder services across the UK, and has worked with children, young people, and adults.
Roshan completed her BSc in Psychology at the University of Birmingham, before completing her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of East Anglia. Roshan completed her training in Enhanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E) from the Centre for Research on Eating Disorders (CREDO) at Oxford University. She is experienced and confident at delivering therapy with people who present with a range of eating problems.
When delivering therapy, Roshan prides herself on adjusting her approach to reflect an individual's unique experience, whilst referring to evidence-based knowledge and research. Her priority is to create a safe and trusting space, and to work collaboratively with the individual to achieve their therapeutic goals.
